Resurrection Power in the Church

How awesome our God is--and how beautiful to see His Spirit move. Several weeks ago, we experienced a Renewal Weekend where God moved to draw us closer together as His body.  Since that weekend that meant so much to so many people, we have seen the Lord move to save, restore, refresh and revive people in the church.

God is doing a work again as He did years ago when He brought hundreds of people here from the north, south, east and west. In the past few weeks, He has brought people here from places like Wisconsin and Michigan. I believe we are at the beginning of an explosion of new church growth. We just need to pray and ask the Holy Spirit to bring people here and build His church through His power.

We are reminded in scripture that unless the Spirit builds the church, we will labor in vain to build it. The Holy Spirit is the resurrection power of God, and He is doing some amazing things among us. To God be the glory.

The Lord Is Adding to the Church

In the second chapter of Acts, the Holy Spirit was moving powerfully in the church. The church at Jerusalem was experiencing the power and presence of God and were having wonderful fellowship among themselves. These new believers were living life together and investing in each other; they were serving the Lord and growing in their faith as new believers.  The people in the church enjoyed being together and worshipping and praising the Lord, and the Bible says, “The Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.”

We have seen God move that way in our church lately.  There is a sweet spirit and sense of unity in our church, and God is adding people to the church.  This coming Sunday we will baptize several who have given their lives to Christ. New families are joining our church and are sent here by the Lord to serve among us.

What a wonderful time we shared Sunday with lunch after church and our cake auction. Thanks to all those who baked cakes and worked to make it possible for some of our youth to attend summer camp.

We look forward to this coming Sunday when the church will be excited to witness these precious new believers following the Lord’s command to be baptized. Sunday evening at 6:00PM the church will gather outside for our annual crawfish boil and fellowship. Continue to pray for God to move among us, drawing us ever closer to Him and to each other.
